UV printing is a form of digital printing that uses ultra-violet light to instantly dry ink as it's printed. This instant curing process means your print will be vibrant and detailed, making this process great for colourful artwork and photo prints that need a durable finish.
If you intend to print a full edge to edge image or add a background colour you’ll need to make sure your image or background fills the bleed area. Make sure important details or information in your design is not inside or too close to the bleed area.
Unlike some, our UV process is capable of printing white - both as a colour and an underlay - which makes designs on black items really pop. For images that have anti-aliasing around the edges, you will need to use our handy 'white background removal' tool to erase any unwanted white pixels or they may be printed leading to a 'halo' effect.
As you can see from the example above, unwanted white pixels may be visible on a black garment. To avoid this, we recommend changing white areas in your design to an off-white colour (like the ones below) and using the zoom feature to check the edges of your design before submitting.
