Overview

Every order on Fido Print is personally created by you from the images and text you provide and the actions you take on the site. There is no checking of what you provide on our side and no monitored 'proofing'* process. When you have finished designing your product, you are shown a preview of what your product will look like which is is as accurate as it can be, considering the limitations of displaying a product on a computer or phone screen. When you approve your design, that step is final and the design cannot be changed or edited by us afterwards.

As the entire process is automated (without any human interaction on our side), it is important that you check your design thoroughly before checking out. It is your responsibility to make sure the design you've created is what you actually want. We are not able to amend spelling mistakes, move design elements or make any changes whatsoever once the design has been submitted. What you are shown in the product preview is what you will receive.

Ordering

We strongly recommend that you check the preview thoroughly and in detail before completing your order. Check the design is where you want it to be, that the spelling in any text you've added is correct and that the image you're shown in the preview is exactly what you're after. You can even have a copy of the preview eMailed to you before you check out.

We also recommend that you order just one item before you place a large order. When you get it, you can check that the actual, physical product you hold in your hand is as you expect. We're confident in our processes and that you receive is what you wanted but we'd prefer that you were sure you were happy before you order hundreds. As we don't charge any set-up fees, there's no minimum order and we don't even charge shipping, ordering a single item is a completely risk free way of checking what you'll get.

Checking your design - things to be aware of

'White halo'

If the design you're adding is on a white background, rather than transparent, you may notice a white halo around your design or logo when it's added to a product - especially on black or dark coloured products. This is caused by 'anti-aliasing' in whatever package you used to create or save your logo. We provide a tool in our design software for you to remove this halo (and any other white elements in the image) by adjusting the slider. You can also clean up the image yourself before uploading it if you want a more precise approach. Note: if any white halo is still showing in the preview before you check out then it will show on the printed product. Make sure you either remove it before checking out or you're happy for it to be there.

Colours

The colours generated on the preview will match the colours on the product you receive (for example, designs printed on canvas with no white layer will look faded and the preview will show this). However, the preview is limited by the settings of your monitor or phone. If you have changed your monitor or phone's brightness or colour settings, the preview you see on screen may differ to the end result. We have no control over the settings you choose for your device.

Positioning

There might be minor variations on positioning due to preparation of the materials for printing. This means that in orders of multiple items, the design may be positioned ever so slightly differently between products. This is usually only noticable if you have many of them side by side and will not be noticable on a single item. The variation between products will be less than 2%.

Returns

As each of these orders are unique to you, made to your specifications and featuring a design that you will own the copyright of, we are not able to accept returns. However, if an order arrives damaged or defective then of course we will make sure this is sorted for you right away.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled as long as they have not gone for printing. Once an order has been printed, it cannot be cancelled and will be shipped. If you need to cancel your order for any reason, please let us know ASAP.

* Proofing is where you are sent an image of what your product will look like and you approve the final design. This is normally required where the company making your products either edits or creates the design on the product for you. As you are adding your own designs and creating your own products, this process does not occur with us. It allows you to get your products faster without being held up by a third party.
